Koch Mechanical has been an industry leader for over 65 years, and we are a currently looking for the right person to add to our team as a project manager / estimator. We are excited about the backlog that we currently have, and we are growing. This position will immediately have projects to manage and be involved with.
Responsibilities:
As an Estimator in the plumbing and mechanical world we are often given short notice to turn bids around. This requires us to be timely and accurate with our quantity takeoff's, vendor pricing, subcontractor scope clarifications, availability of resources, addendums and bid clarifications. We will expect the estimator to be able to compose and compile proposals including filling out bid forms and proposal forms. We use Autobid mechanical for our estimating software and will train you if you are unfamiliar with this program.
As a Project Manager in our company you will be expected to oversee the entire project from the buyout to the closeout, including all tasks along the way. These tasks include purchasing, submittals, project changes, manpower, deliverables, monthly billings, tracking and projecting the trends of each project. We will also train on all of these tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or 2+ years of estimating and project management experience in the same field.
- Must be able to communicate well with customers, vendors, subcontractors and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with Clients.
- Must have experience and be able to understand and read construction documents including plans and specifications, requests for proposals, addendums, etc...
- Must be familiar with and be able to navigate software including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and bluebeam.
- Must have an in-depth understanding of plumbing and mechanical systems.
We have a long list of current projects and a great backlog for the next few years, and we are looking for someone who is seeking a long-term position. We are willing to train, teach, and build together and involve this position into our daily business. - 8 hour shift - Our office hours are from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.
