Fletcher Development is seeking a Commercial/Industrial Project Manager to join their team. We are looking for a resourceful leader with industrial project experience. This candidate will be motivated, hardworking team player with a strong background in construction. This position requires passion, dedication, and a strong sense of accountability. Vast knowledge of building systems and construction methods. Solid financial management skills and the ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the management of the entire project, including scheduling, purchasing, quality and safety.
Collaborate with owner to find alternative solutions to problems
Negotiate financial disputes and change orders with owners
Point of contact for project management, architects, subcontractors, owners, engineers and more
Document and negotiate changes that may affect project completion or contract costs with subcontractors and owners
Develop field quality assurance and quality control plan
Ensure safety on the jobsite and OSHA compliant
- Leads the project with focus on open communication, setting clear direction and establishing high levels of expectations.
- Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Daily duties to effectively manage a construction project
- Oversee the subcontractors and vendor procurement by supervising the completion of buyout, scope of work review, contract writing, insurance and bonding reviews, etc.
- Guide the research and recommendation of resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors.
- Process submittals, RFI's, change order proposals, owner billings, time sheet management, subcontractor/vendor billings, monthly reports, etc.
- Ensure the preparation of timely owner billings via the verification of work in place quantities/billings from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Verify the production of accurate monthly cost projections which forecast total estimated costs at completion.
- Oversight of the creation and monitoring of project schedules and production of progress updates.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degrees in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred. Applicants with relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
5+ years experience in construction project management with a general contractor
Industrial/light-industrial project experience required.
Broad knowledge of building systems, construction methods and OSHA guidelines
Strong financial management skills and the ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish
