Experienced Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO)

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) to join our team! SGS, LLC is an Oklahoma based General Contractor / Design-Builder. We currently have openings for qualified personnel on our commercial construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Implement EM 385-1-1 requirements
- Involved in all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
- Ability to plan for and assign resources as applicable for projects
- Supervise safety of all onsite personnel and subcontractors
- Management/Enforcement of SGS’s Safety Program and Security Policies
- Conduct regular safety meetings with trade subcontractors
- Conduct safety for all new employees onsite
- Required to ensure all personnel onsite are equipped with proper PPE
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, etc.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to approved plans and specifications
Qualifications:
- Must have minimum of 5 years of experience on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects
- Must have current OSHA 30-Hour card and CPR/First Aid certifications
- Must be familiar with requirements of the EM 385 1-1, 2014 version
- 40Hr EM385 Certification
- 24Hr Fall Protection Competent Person Certification REQUIRED
- Knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, requires applicants to be of able body to assist in performing certain portions of the work, and to manage and schedule subcontractors
- Experience with USACE RMS software
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of construction means and methods
- Strong leadership qualities
- Deadline and detail-oriented
