Expert Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Schneider Electric is undergoing a global infrastructure transformation programme, led by the Global Technology Services team (GTS).
Working within GTS, the Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer will be a member of the GTS Core Network Solutions Delivery team. As a senior network engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, upgrading, and troubleshooting of all enterprise networking and security technologies.
As an Engineering Level 4 role, you will be responsible for driving the implementation and improvement of existing and new technologies.
You will collaborate closely with Solutions Architects, Global Network Operations, and the PMO to ensure the quality of solutions delivered to the business.
In addition to technical expertise, you will need strong communication skills to interact with line of business and IT customers, understand their needs, and propose cost-effective solutions. Key Responsibilities * Responsible for the delivering and maintain architecture, design, integration, configuration and implementation of network & security infrastructure environment (WAN, LAN, WLAN, DNS/DHCP, Firewalls, Proxy, VPN, SD-WAN). * Provide L4 incident troubleshooting on network & security related issues and responsible for problem management coordination by interacting with network operation as well as other technology support personnel to help solve enterprise level (WAN, LAN, WLAN, DNS/DHCP, Firewalls, Proxy, VPN...) problems. * Partnering with outside network vendors to resolve problems or issues, as well as access products and service capabilities. * Perform high level design for new infrastructure systems projects and actively search for sustainable, optimize, scalable opportunities for architectural, types of re-use and cost reduction initiative. * Partner with Architecture team to conduct research, development, business assessment of different new emerging network products, market trends and industry knowledge.
Initiating POC, Pilot and contributing to white papers and documentation on POC results, recommendations and operational support. * Implement network framework, principles, best practices and standards globally, and responsible for the creation of near term & long-term roadmap and strategy aligning to the business initiatives and changes. * Maintain by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures, conducting incident response analyses. * Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field * At least 10 years in the area of networking * Excellent organizational and time management skills * Ability to work limited supervision * Open to Domestic travel 30% time * Enterprise network technologies: LAN, Wireless LAN, DNS, DHCP * CCNP certified * WAN/SDWAN technologies: Cisco SDWAN, MPLS, VRFs, BGP, OSPF * Datacenter networks: Cisco Nexus * Security technologies: Firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto), IPsec VPNs, Proxy (Zscaler), Cisco, Fortinet Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience with Cisco DNA center. • CCIE Certified • SDN technologies: Cisco ACI, NSX-T, Cisco SDA • Multi-cloud: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud • Automation and IaC: ansible, Python, Terraform, Git • Virtualization: Docker, Kubernetes Schedule: Full-time Req: 0092X5
