To oversee the development, optimization, and documentation of molding processes while achieving continuous improvement goals.
Location: Elk Grove Village, ILSchedule: 3rd shift - 10 pm - 6:30 am Pay rate: $25-$28/hr
Duties:

• Oversee and regulate product weight, flash, and wall thickness to help reduce scrap.
• Work with other departments on sample testing and process documentation.
• Develop and maintain molding processes, ensuring their consistency.
• Reduce molding defects by improving processes and implementing a formal corrective action plan.
• Train production staff on correct processing procedures.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment.
• Handle start-ups, shutdowns, and changes as necessary.
• Diagnose and resolve minor hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Uphold housekeeping standards and promote lean manufacturing practices.
• Achieve continuous improvement goals and objectives.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in extrusion blow molding, with additional experience in injection molding and profile extrusion processing .
• Strong technical skills and hands-on experience in troubleshooting molding process issues.
• Ability to problem-solve, make sound decisions, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Self-driven, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and dependable in attendance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Practices is .
• Proficient in basic math and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Forklift certified.
