Essential Responsibilities:

Primary duties

• Data entry with high rate of accuracy
• Ability to read or willingness to learn to read blueprints
• Leverage organization skills while working on orders and projects
• Assist with customer documents i.e. DN, DSF, QDP review
• Assist with estimating, entering quotes, building B.O.M. and routing
• Supporting project management work
• Other duties as assigned

Secondary duties- which can be learned with ongoing training and departmental experience

• Provide detailed tooling and setup instructions
• Provide setup and programming support for repeat productions
• Ensure setup sheet information is detailed and accurate
• Assist with generating SMP programs for CNC Punch Press, Brake and Laser
• Ensure tooling is selected and ordered within the scope of our tool standardization program
• Adhere to Employee’s responsibilities outlined in Cygnus’ Health & Safety Policy

Additional Skills & Responsibilities:

• Willingness to learn Autodesk Inventor or other CAD software
• Good communication and organizational skills required
• Strong computer skills, understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Must be available to work up to 10 hours of overtime a week as needed
• Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold and/or noisy areas)
• Frequent hand to finger, handle, feel objects & tools, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking and hearing
• Physically submit to periodic drug tests (employment is contingent upon favorable results)
