About the Company:Our Client is an International Recruitment Agency specialized in job placement all over Canada and foreign workers recruitment.NOTE: Only apply if you are willing to relocate to work in Canada.Responsibilities:Interpret welding process specificationsOperate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipmentOperate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipmentOperate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machinesFit and weld intermediate small partsFit, braze and torch-straighten metalOperate oxygen arc-cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)Weld through different welding techniques and positions such as GMAW, FCAW, MCAW / 1F-4F & 1G-2GWeld steel parts and aluminum chassis for trailers and farm equipmentOperate basic hand & air tools (die grinder, angle grinder, drill, etc.)Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and productsOperate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metalMaintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipmentRequirementsEducation:Completion of high school is required. Trade courses are an assetExperience:A minimum of 3 years of experience in welding is required. If the candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate OR Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program is required.Training will be provided - in-hour or out-of-house training, hands-on training.Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge are required. (properly start and shut the machine, working with the tools safely, not scared of using new tools)Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities:Fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, standing for extended periods, working under pressure, tight deadlines, a combination of sitting, standing, walking, working at heightsPersonal suitability:Organized, effective interpersonal skills, team player, excellent oral communication, initiative, accuracy, and judgment.BenefitsSalary: $ hourly, 40 - 45 hours per week.Benefits:Personal protective equipment is provided. workers’ compensation, dental, and paramedical insurance.Important information:Flexibility on schedule is required.
