Salary: Between £13.00 to £15.00 per hour depending on experience

Hours per week: 40

Days/Job Type: Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.30 and Fridays 7.30 till 12pm, with option to work Saturday between 6am to 6pm.



About the role:

You will be working as part of a small team of welders to perform manufacturing functions of fabrication and welding in accordance with the relevant standards and any other standards which may apply to these functions, as per the Companies requirements.

As a Metal fabricator you will prepare, weld, and fabricate metal structures and components. You will be mainly working in a manufacturing factory environment, using a variety of tools to construct metal-based assembly components.



Duties include, but are not exhaustive of:

· Carrying out gas metal arc welding (GMAW), to manufacture items and components.

· Cutting materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses

· Welding or joining metal and other materials into a wide range of structures.

· Following engineering plans, drawings and instructions

· Using computer programmes to design structures.

· Operating tools and machinery and welding equipment

· Inspecting and testing welds with precision measuring instruments

· Dismantling metal structures

· Cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas

· Wearing safety clothing and using protective equipment

Candidate Requirements / Ideal Candidate



· TIG/MMA/MIG welding on stainless steel 316L, Alloy 800, duplex, plus some carbon experience needed.

· A good engineering background.

· The ability to read engineering drawings.

· Fabrication

· Basic fillet welds and pipe butts to x-ray standard.

· Mathematical Skills.

· Attention to Detail.

· Steady Hands and Good Hand-Eye Coordination.

· Physical Strength and Endurance.

· The Ability to Always Learn New Things.

· Good Communication and Teamwork Abilities.

· Own transport needed due to location.
