We are seeking a Plant Manager to manage production for our diverse range of projects. This role involves preparing and managing production for various steel fabrication and erection contracts with state of the art equipment The base salary ranges from $45,000 to $60,000, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
- Coordinates with the Production Manager the daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinates with the Production Manager and implements production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Coordinate with the engineering team and Production Manager to review, interpret, and execute fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Coordinates with Procurement the availability of materials and supplies, ensuring quality standards are met and costs are controlled.
- Implements and maintains safety protocols and training programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of fabrication equipment, scheduling maintenance and upgrades to minimize downtime.
- Facilitates communication between the fabrication department and other organizational units, such as sales, design, and customer service, to ensure alignment on project objectives and timelines.
- Researches and implements new fabrication techniques and technologies to improve product quality, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Supports manufacturing engineers with problem solving of automated
- equipment issues
- Ensures continuous morale and team building
- Weekly scheduling of engineering support with production and
- maintenance for both straight time and weekend support
- Interface with architects and engineers to meet the project requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years structural fabrication experience. Supervision will be conversant with current workmanship provision of AWS and AISC
- Steel Fabrication experience needed
- Must be able to read architectural plans and shop drawings
