This role is a direct hire, full-time position focused on delivering innovative electrical systems for building projects across various markets, including healthcare, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Building Electrical Systems Design Engineer to join our client's team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing and managing electrical systems tailored to building projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and high-impact projects while contributing to the enhancement of communities through purposeful design.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and Develop Electrical Systems: Create detailed electrical designs for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and communication systems tailored to project-specific requirements.

Project Management: Lead the electrical design aspect of projects, from initial concept through to completion, ensuring all systems meet client needs and regulatory standards.

Technical Expertise: Apply advanced engineering principles to develop efficient, reliable, and compliant electrical systems, leveraging software tools like Revit and CAD.

Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their specific needs, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions to meet project goals.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards, including the Electrical Code (NFPA-70).
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college.

5+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on building systems design.

5+ years of experience with Revit, CAD, and other design software.
& Other Qualifications:

Registered Engineer; strongly prefer licensure in the state of Tennessee.

Healthcare design/engineering experience

LEED Accreditation is a plus

Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and industry standards.

Proven ability to lead projects and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Knowledge of Electrical Code (NFPA-70) and other Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Salary and Benefits:

Competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience

Location:
This position is 100% onsite in Memphis, TN and does not offer relocation assistance. Candidates will be offered a relocation package.
Shift:
This position is 1st shift based on a Monday through Friday workweek with regular scheduled hours of 8 am to 5 pm each day.
