Facilities Engineer

The Data Center Facilities Engineer is responsible for the operation of the CCF facilities, as well as provisioning customer services within these sites, and all capacity additions to the facilities equipment – HVAC, Power, etc.Essential Job Functions• Maintain Facilities infrastructure• Respond to call outs on facilities equipment failures• Provision new customer services in the facilities• Complete price requests in CRM for facilities services• Monitor and add capacity to facilities infrastructure as necessary• Manage Facilities operating and project budgetsEducation/Certifications• 2 Year Technical degree plus equivalent DC/Facilities experience• Industry certifications on Electrical, HVAC, security and fire suppression systems• 4 year engineering degree in building operations or DC management area preferred• Certifications in areas of data center operations – Facility Engineering, Electrical, HVAC, etc. preferredExperience/Minimum Requirements• 5+ years of experience in data center facilities infrastructure operation and maintenance• 5+ years of experience in data center customer provisioning• 2+ years building management• Knowledge of facilities equipment – HVAC, UPS, generators, etc…• Knowledge of datacenter operation and provisioning• Building maintenance and repair• Engineering experience in planning for datacenter growth and expansion preferredOther Skills/Abilities• Knowledge of facility infrastructure systems (Generators, Chiller plant, UPS, Switch gear, etc.)• Interface with customers in a professional and responsive manner• Manage projects to an on time, in budget completion• Plan and identify projects based on trended growth / consumption.
