Facilities Engineer I - 1 YEAR CONTRACT

The Facilities Engineer manages and optimizes electrical systems and infrastructure within the Costa Rica building. This role involves designing electrical layouts, overseeing installation and maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, National Electrical ode, and regulatory standards.Essential Functions: The Facilities Engineer will assume the responsibility for electrical system of the Costa Rica site including, predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and system malfunctions. Ensure all electrical installations comply with national electrical codes and standards. Assists in creation, update and control of KPIs and internal reporting tools related to facilities area. Maintain accurate records of electrical system modifications and maintenance activities. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other engineers and departments to complete electrical maintenance and related tasks. Analyze electrical system performance and energy usage to identify opportunities for energy conservation, make recommendations for improvements, implement energy-efficient solutions and technologies to reduce operational costs. Schedule and supervise maintenance and sustaining tasks of electrical systems including but not limited to substation, electrical panels, generator, electrical transformer and other as needed. Assist in establishing and improving processes and procedures for Electrical Facilities Maintenance management, including vendors, planning, KPI creation and update, risk assessments and internal reporting to meet local regulations and safety protocols and to minimize risks and hazards associated with electrical systems. Work in relation to other areas of the company to schedule and execute maintenance and sustaining of electrical systems. Assist in quality processes managed by facilities area meeting regulatory and internal requirements. Investigate deviations, identify root cause, and assist in implementing effective process for handling corrective actions. Performs other related duties as assigned.Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field. Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (., NEC), and power distribution and control systems. Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced preferred. Intermediate English both spoken and written. Well organized with attention to detail and ability to carry out tasks independently. Excellent project management, organizational and follow-through skill set. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional demeanor.  Experience not required, but prior experience is a plus.
