Field Application Engineer Industrial (f/m/div)

In your role as Field Application Engineer (FAE) you will be the interface between Customers, Technical Marketing and Application Engineering for the EMEA region. The vision of Industrial and Infrastructure (I²) is to be the number 1 solution partner for our customers in related applications of Renewables, Drives, Automation, Energy storage / distribution, Power Supplies and High Power DC charging. We at I² are following the T-shape model. Each FAE has deep technical knowledge in a specific area, allowing joint Innovation on eye level with our customers. In teamwork with the Account Manager, the FAE in addition leverages his established position as trusted advisor to position the entire Infineon portfolio within identified projects. The Technical Ladder is a special career path for those who share innovative ideas, demonstrate comprehensive technical knowledge, show thought leadership, possess problem solving abilities and are able to create business value.In your new role you will: Design In / Win of Mosfets (Si/SiC/GaN), IGBT`s, Diodes, Gatedrivers, IPM`s, Discretes and Power Modules Maximize the future business for all Infineon products by identification of all potential sockets inside the application / BOM leveraging Infineon`s wide product portfolio (Microcontroller, connectivity, sensors, memories…) Definition of new products and derivatives in close cooperation with our innovative customers in EMEA and our internal technical marketing and applications teams Act as a technical interface and consultant to your customer in your area of expertise. Identify further technical experts needed in alignment with the Account Manager Derive customer requirements and market trends (today and in the future) to develop system value propositions together with internal interfaces (Marketing, Application, System Engineering) Proactively manage projects together with the Sales departmentto achieve Design-Win Targets Establish and maintain excellent relationship with technical decision makers at customers as well as internal Perform measurements in our lab within the scope of actual projects and potential future projects Support our distribution partners, during FAE trainings or end customer seminarsYou actively listen to your business partners and enjoy building trustful relationships. You set yourself ambitious goals, make use of the knowledge of your team members, and share your know-how. Furthermore, you keep profitability in mind and are able to prioritize your technical activities from a commercial point of view.Beyond, you are best equipped for this task if you have: A degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field of studies About 3-5 years of professional experience as a (Field) Application Engineer or Design Engineer in the area of power electronics, with focus on selection and design of IGBTs, MOSFETs, Power modules or Intelligent Power modules as well as their control and protection circuits (Gate Drivers, current sensors, etc.) Practical lab experience, thermal or EMC design, layout, and simulations Project Management skills, self-motivated follow up on action items (Who, What, When) Excellent communication skills in English; German, Spanish, French as a plus In case you are interested in Industrial Power Electronics in general but so far, your experience is more in the digital domain like Microcontroller, Connectivity, Sensors and/or Memories, don’t hesitate to apply as well!
