Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.JR56318 Field Application Engineer (Storage specialized)Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:Customer technical engagement Develop deep technical relationships across assigned customers working towards trusted advisor status. Deeply understand the business and technical requirements of assigned customers and their focus end customers. Ability to provide Client system level support, such as schematic/layout review to customer’s early platform design. Provide Training to Customers, Sales, and internal team members on key technical topics.Working with customers to determine the best storage footprint and best system configuration for the Client application space.Understand and influence customer strategy and roadmaps. Working with customer R&D for the technical engagement of design in and qualification of Micron Solid State Drives (SSDs) in the Client applications with customers.Working to understand the detail of qualification flow, review and possibly fine tuning the qualification process with engineering team at customer side.Providing all levels of technical support to customers and the Micron Sales teams around the world.Working with and driving internal marketing and development teams to determine the feasibility of specific new products, packaging or features and ensuring customer specifications are met.Identifying and communicating the needed customer focused collateral (, product guides, cross references, advertisements, etc.).Providing internal strategic direction for customer systems applications and quality related objectives through collaboration with global field support teams.QualificationsDesign, product, test, system or applications engineering experience in Desktop/Notebook system design and/or SSD applications in the Client system applications. (at least 5 years of experience)Systems experience, which could include:Hardware architecture, design, test and troubleshootingSSD and/or HDD system debugDevice drivers & Firmware (installation/troubleshooting)Storage devices (installation/configuration/troubleshooting)Working knowledge of NVMe, SATA, SAS or PCIe interfacesAbility to demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills including lab testing (oscilloscope, logic analyzer usage and Protocol Analyzer) and debugExcellent verbal, written, and customer communications skillsThe ability to be self-motivated, take initiative, and to work independently or in a team environment.The ability to work with engineers across multiple disciplines, as well as customers of various positions including executive level interaction.Education:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
