The role – Field Based Technical Advisor
Working closely with the business development / sales teams, you will be responsible for supporting a broad range of clients within the construction and associated sectors, and in particular architects, construction materials suppliers and distributors, providing a complete range of technical support services.
You will have a key role in ensuring all current and future clients are afforded with a comprehensive product technical service provision, your daily duties and responsibilities including;
- Providing effective, timely technical product support across the regional client portfolio and ensuring a robust, bespoke service provision is maintained
- Supporting associated clients in relation to providing effective product training
- Respond in a timeous manner to customer queries or issues ensuring a robust solution is provided
- Respond to customer requirements for U-value calculations in a prompt and accurate manner
- Build first class relationships with key customers, distributors, architects, contractors and other specifiers, becoming a reliable and respected subject matter expert with deep product knowledge and wide understanding of construction processes
- Take ownership of product certifications to ensure seamless continuation of certification
- Support colleagues across all areas of the business in relation to companywide projects, initiatives and improvements
Ideally possessing a relevant qualification in relation to the Built Environment (Architectural, Construction, Surveying etc) , you will be able to demonstrate previous experience within a Technical Advisor, or related post, within the construction materials sector. You will have an in-depth working knowledge of U-Value calculations and be well versed in undertaking the same in relation to technical support for all client groups – direct experience of building standards relating to thermal and acoustic insulation would be a distinct advantage. You will be highly organised and possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will have a genuine desire to provide the highest standards of client service provision across all customer groups. A current driving license is essential.
This role will be support clients across a broad geography within the South Mid / South West Areas.
