The position includes a combination of Pre-project planning, assistance in quotation development for new projects, conceptual design development, and installation of our upgrades. This candidate would be assisting in the field during installations, creating control panels in our shop area, along with assembly of sub-systems prior to installation. Checking in inventory and staging it to be shipped on-site.
Related Travel
Out of town travel is based on the requirements of the specific upgrade or system enhancement project. Our client base at one time was world-wide but is now almost exclusively based within the United States. Quality of life is important to us we make every effort to limit travel to 10 days on site at a facility. Most of our systems install in less than seven days and startup in less than five limiting the need for extended out of town travel. Business trips for quoting projects are limited to a day or two to evaluate the equipment and collect information. Most travel can be planned well in advance.
Work Schedule
We focus of trying to keep our normal work schedule to a 7:30 to 4:00 daily work day and very limited weekend work. We also have a flexible work schedule allowing time off for important family events with a simple weekly makeup requirement. As with any company, extended hours are required during key portions of a project however they are not our operational norm as with many companies today.
Expectations
We expect our employees to be self-motivated and driven to stay on task and complete projects in a timely manner. We do not micro manage our employees so the ability to keep good notes, plan and implement are key to the success in our firm. Time on site is expensive for us and our clients so we expect systems to be tested and ready run when installed to minimize on site time.

As our firm continues to grow, many possibilities for growth exist to allow personnel and professional growth moving forward. We understand the successful candidate very likely has never programmed a press control system. We will walk you through this process and make sure all questions are answered as the project moves forward.
Education and Skill Requirements
The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a two year technical degree with a minimum of 3 years system experience. A good understanding of the NEC and other machine and panel building standards is also a must for this position. Problem solving, troubleshooting and general technical skills are required. The successful candidate must possess strong communication and written skills and have the ability to discuss technical issues with clients and other members of our engineering team. Experience in project management and supervision skills are as plus but not required.
