Brayman Construction Corporation is seeking a qualified Field Engineer to join our team for the $769.9 million Montgomery Locks and Dam project, awarded by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Monaca, PA. This major initiative involves removal of the existing lock chamber and constructing a new 110-ft by 600-ft primary lock chamber at the Montgomery Locks and Dam on the Ohio River in Monaca, PA. The work will begin with in-the-wet construction for portions of the lock wall monoliths, followed by cofferdam installation and dry construction of the remaining monoliths. Deconstruction of the existing auxiliary lock chamber will start in Spring 2025, with project completion anticipated in 2030. This vital infrastructure project is part of the larger Upper Ohio Navigation Project, designed to upgrade aging lock systems and ensure safe, efficient navigation along the Ohio River. SUMMARY OF FIELD ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively involved in project safety programs
  • Assist with Project and Field Supervision
  • Track and report quantities of work performed
  • Assist in improving project quality and productivity
  • Promote communication between the field and office staffs
  • Responsible for project specific tasks assigned by higher level manager


SUMMARY OF FIELD ENGINEER REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read blueprints/plans
  • Flexibility to adapt to new challenges
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office concentrations in Excel
  • Must be willing to travel or relocate as necessary for projects


FIELD ENGINEER REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 2 years of experience, or an individual with 5 years of experience supervising structural and civil features of work in the field with a construction company
  • Experience with steel erection projects a plus
  • Experience with Structural Concrete and Mass Concrete a plus

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
