Are you ready to join our team as a Surface Field Tech and make a positive impact in the oil and gas industry? As a Contract Surface Field Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our client's oil and gas wells in Big Lake, Texas.

Role Overview

• Conduct P/A surface reclamation scouting to inventory each well prior to cleanup.
• Gather pumping unit information, including pictures, size, and make of unit.
• Identify and mark flowlines from wellsite to battery.
• Survey pad and identify any trash or waste left on site.
• Confirm completed jobs by spot checking and taking pictures.
• Perform NORM scans of pads to ensure no NORM is present.
• Inventory each potential battery demo, including tanks, vessels, and miscellaneous equipment.
• Conduct Bradenhead blowdown by relieving pressure from surface and intermediate casing and collecting gas and fluid samples from each casing.
• Re-gauge each casing three times within 9 months of initial blowdown.
• Assess approximately 40 nonreportable spills per month and determine proper remediation process.
• Spot check remediation vendors to ensure quality work.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong electrical background and knowledge of operator operations.
• Familiarity with flowlines and cathodic meters.
• Ability to identify flowlines and mark them from wellsite to battery.
• Experience with surveying and identifying potential hazards on site.
• Attention to detail and ability to confirm completed jobs through spot checks and pictures.
• Knowledge of NORM scanning procedures and ability to ensure no NORM is present on pads.
• Experience with tank gauging and NORM scanning on tanks and vessels.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in the oil and gas industry .
