As a Field Engineer you will contribute to the planning and coordination of activities of assigned telecommunications construction projects to ensure that goals and objectives of projects are accomplished within the required schedule, on budget and meeting customer standards and specifications.

What you'll do as a Field Engineer
Use discretion and independent judgment to research and review telecommunication system requirements and generate detailed installation specifications adhering to both industry and customer standards
Schedule and perform on-site visits to collect specific information on telecommunication network build-out and/or removal
Actively advise clients during all phases of deployment
Formulate Bill of Materials
Update site specific customer office records with use of computer aided drawing systems (i.e. AutoCad)
Interface with all levels of management in sales, operations, engineering, installation and procurement services
Assist installation and customer engineering with the resolution of project issues
Adhere to all engineering milestones defined by the customer and/or management
Participate in non-customer related projects which benefit corporate development

What you’ll need
To be at least 18 years old
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
A high school diploma or equivalent
Two to four years of experience in the OSP Engineering field
Experience with aerial and underground construction methods and engineering requirements
Experience with cable placement and splicing methods and practices
Effective communication skills
The Ability to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record
Familiarity in permitting requirements for state and local agencies
A working understanding of the Rural Utility Service (RUS) units and their meaning process

Pay Range: $67,000 - $68,640 per year
