Field Safety Technician

We are seeking a Field Safety Technician to join our team for a utility-scale solar project. This role is critical in ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with safety regulations on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety and a passion for promoting a culture of safety. The Field Safety Technician reports to the Project Safety Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on the construction site to identify potential hazards.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Provide safety training and for new employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and assist in accident investigation and reporting.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to promote safety awareness and best practices.
- Maintain safety documentation and records, including incident reports and safety training logs.
- Respond to safety incidents and emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of field safety experience in construction.
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification.
- Previous experience in solar energy projects is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
- Proficiency with technology and software used for safety management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
