Field Support Technician
Location: Takoma, WA

A successful Field Service Technician candidate can adapt to a variety of work environments and quickly solve problems. Their main responsibility is to provide excellent customer service while maintaining equipment, with specific Field Service Technician job duties including:
Responsibilities:
- Become knowledgeable in Passport services and products
- Install/Upgrade equipment maintained by the company in various locations
- Configure hardware and software components after installation
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Test equipment to troubleshoot issues
- Document installation and repairs
- Maintain all tools and equipment during service calls
- Teach clients how to use equipment properly
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills
- Written and verbal communications skills to understand issues customers have and to explain technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner
- Problem-solving skills to diagnose problems
- Time management skills to handle appointments efficiently and stay on schedule
- Attention to detail to spot issues and complete accurate reports relating to repairs
- Networking and PC skills
- Proven leadership, decision making, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skill
- Organizational skills to keep tools and paperwork organized while in the field
- Computer and technical skills to understand the equipment fully
- Handy with tools
