Field Service Engineer\n\n * Permanent staff position, Monday to Friday\n\n * Home-based, working across a region mainly between Edinburgh & the North of England (job can involve being away from home regularly during the week)\n\n * £38,000 - £40,000 basic + overtime and on call allowances\n\n * Option of company vehicle or vehicle allowance\n\nAn experienced Field Service Engineer with a predominantly electrical skillset is wanted by a leading global engineering company.\n\nFocussed within the fire & explosion protection industry, you would be joining a highly respected company that can offer you a great benefits package and excellent professional development prospects.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring to the Team\n\n * Recognised engineering qualifications, ideally electrical\n\n * A combination of instrumentation or controls skillsets are also beneficial\n\n * Proven experience within a field service / field maintenance role\n\n * CompEx trained\n\n * Exposure to COMAH and/or ATEX environments would be good\n\n * Good level of IT literacy\n\n * A full UK driving licence\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\n * Working on various industrial sites around Scotland & the North of England\n\n * Performing routine maintenance and repairs on fire & explosion protection systems, diagnosing faults and providing technical solutions\n\n * Providing remote technical support to customers where possible\n\n * Reading schematics and tech drawings\n\n * Managing your own diary, including travel arrangements\n\n * Representing the business in a customer-facing role, providing a professional & polite service\n\nAs well as a competitive base salary and OT/on call payments, you will receive up to 27 days annual leave + BH, enhanced pension & life assurance.\n\nFor further details, please apply or contact John Dorling at Pin Point Recruitment
