Field Service Engineer role:

FJA are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer who will be based in the Oxfordshire area on behalf of our client who are an industry leader in the design and manufacturing sector to develop, install and service sustainable building solutions designed to protect our environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer where you will play a vital role in helping to deal with the demand of work, get great training and earn with overtime. This is a customer facing role that requires strong communication, technical ability and delivering safe and timely delivery of work that is allocated with the OX Postcode Area.

Field Service Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing, maintaining, servicing company equipment
  • Obtain tasks using PDA software provided
  • Resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers
  • Carry out a visual risk assessment on each job as required and raise any concerns with line manager
  • Provide feedback on parts used in line with procedures to complete a task ensuring at all times parts are pre-paid when dealing with an end-user;
  • Excellent customer service at all times and discuss with customer on all recommendations onsite including service plans and upgrade options and note these on your report
  • Monthly stock takes on van stock or stock stored at lockups;
  • On-the-job training as directed by your line manager and partake in personal training courses as required
  • Ensure all company property and vehicles are maintained in line with company policy

Essential Criteria

  • Have at least 1 year electrical or mechanical engineering experience and be electrical competent.
  • Physically fit to do the required job
  • Experience working outside in all weathers
  • Hold a Clean Driving Licence
  • Experience working in a similar role/environment
  • IT literate especially on Microsoft products
  • Experience of using electrical test equipment
  • Proven ability to fault find in a range of demanding environments.

Desirable Criteria

  • Minimum 2 Years Experience working in Wastewater/Water Industry
  • Proven experience working with Sewage Treatment/Pump Stations required
  • Experience in working in the sewerage treatment industry in a similar role
