Field Service Engineer

DAY SHIFT ROLE – Working for a friendly family business and leading supplier of automation machinery! Electrically qualified, multi-skilled Service Engineer needed. This will be a local role servicing most clients within a 40 minute drive of their workshop near Spalding.



ROLE



With a company Van and working alongside a team of 8, this will be a 50/50 split role between workshop and client site carrying out servicing duties, breakdown support and installations. Machinery consists of conveyors, and packaging type machines utilising hydraulics and pneumatics, controlled by PLC’s and Inverters.



There is an On-Call rota (around 1 in 5) for weekend work (call-outs are irregular). Flexibility for the odd night-shift is (1-2 times per year).



The company have Service contracts in Ireland (every 3 months for a few days) and there may be very occasional opportunities for world-wide travel including North America.



CANDIDATE



With a background in automated machinery, you MUST hold full and recognised electrical qualifications. The work tends to be mechanically biased, but you must be able to, and be qualified to work on Electrical systems when required. A Working Knowledge of Inverters is also a MUST for this role and fault-finding on PLC’s ideal, but not critical.



A full UK Driving Licence is required.

Salary up to £44,000



Overtime available



Hours: Monday – Friday 08.00 – 17.00 (with paid lunch)
