Field Service Engineer
Due to continued growth this global manufacturer are looking to expand the team and are looking for a Field Service Engineer ideally based along the M62 corridor. You will visit customer across the North of the UK.
As a Field Service Engineer you will provide clients with onsite servicing and repairs to turnkey manufacturing solutions you will need to be mechanically minded and have a good understanding of engineering solutions and offer technical assistance.
Each day will be different as you will be visiting client sites including pharmaceutical, food, drink and other FMCG industries, the business thrives on its reputation for delivering excellent customer service and developing strong long term relationships with clients.
The role as a Field Service Engineer:
Commission new equipment at the customer’s site including operational training.
Attend customer plants to perform service of cutting edge grinding machinery.
Train customer’s maintenance and operating personnel in the proper operating and maintenance procedures.
Communicate with customers and our technical specialists from our headquarters in Germany.
Provide progress on project work and update HQ as required.
Organise your own travel when working away and submit expenses. Skills and Qualifications for this Field Service Engineer role:
Engineering Qualification or time served apprentice with experience in similar field.
Requires a minimum of 3-5 years‘ experience in machine maintenance
Ability to work independently.
Electrical and mechanical knowledge
Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics and flow charts.
Knowledge of fine grinding and dispersing equipment maintenance would be advantageous.
Flexibility to work away from home during the week across the UK.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
The benefits to you as a Field Service Engineer:
Basic salary of £38,000.
Van or Estate Car provided.
Working Monday-Friday.
Working across the North of the UK and some occasional European travel.
Travel expenses including food and accommodation paid for.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
Pension.
