Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Leixlip Ireland + Travel Required to UK/EU Sites
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £60,000 - £64,000 + Overtime + On Call Rota Available
The Role:
- Equipment Management:
- Perform equipment start-up, qualification, troubleshooting, maintenance, and modifications.
- Execute preventive maintenance procedures while diligently following company and customer policies and procedures.
- Operational Support:
- Support local site operations activities.
- Develop local work instructions and procedures.
- Coordinate equipment sign-offs and software installations.
- International Collaboration:
- Interface with International Teams to lead technical discussions.
- Drive corrective actions and resolutions to operational issues.
- Training:
- Experience with the equipment portfolio and industry is strongly preferred.
- Full training will be provided in areas where the candidate has little experience.
- Maintenance Metrics:
- Assist the Site Operations Manager in creating maintenance metrics for system and component performance.
- Scheduling and Coordination:
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on work priority, equipment quantity, and availability.
- Technical Interpretation:
- Interpret specifications, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
- Safety Compliance:
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) as required.
- Professional Conduct:
- Represent the company in a professional manner and with the highest integrity in all dealings with customers.
- Maintain appropriate appearance and conduct in the work environment, whether at the company or customer site.
- Follow a professional dress code, including company workwear.
Experience Required
- 3-5 years of related experience in equipment operation within a semiconductor or chemical environment facility is desired.
- Experience with gas handling in the semiconductor industry is preferred, although full training will be provided in areas where required.
- Experience with hazardous material handling and training in a semiconductor manufacturing environment is desired.
- A mechanical trade is desirable but not essential. Appropriate technical qualifications and experience will be considered when appointing the suitable individual.
