About the Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll provide advanced technical support, commissioning, and optimization of systems and equipment for clients worldwide. This role offers a perfect blend of technical challenges, global travel, and customer interaction.
Responsibilities:
- Execute start-up, commissioning, and performance optimization of advanced electrical and mechanical systems.
- Conduct detailed equipment inspections to verify proper installation and operational readiness.
- Analyze performance data during trials, ensuring systems meet or exceed operational standards.
- Develop and deliver customized training programs (both hands-on and classroom) for customer personnel.
- Provide technical support for preventive and corrective maintenance strategies tailored to each project.
- Review specifications and implement operational requirements to align with customer performance criteria.
- Collaborate with design teams, offering field markups and feedback for “as-built” revisions.
- Coordinate and oversee on-site activities, including vendor and contractor performance.
- Prepare and present detailed technical reports, capturing equipment performance and project milestones.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of field service or relevant hands-on engineering experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, along with operation and maintenance manuals.
- Proficiency with control panels, motor starters, AC/DC drives, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency with high-speed rotating equipment.
- Experience with programmable controllers and operator interface terminals is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for engaging with teams and customers.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%, including international and long-term assignments).
