Field Service Engineer

About the Role:

As a Senior Field Service Technician, you'll provide technical support for high-tech machines and instruments in the diamond value chain. This hands-on role involves both remote and on-site responsibilities, including:

Service & Support

* Diagnose and resolve technical issues on advanced electro-mechanical systems.

* Install new equipment, train users, and upgrade hardware/software as needed.

* Perform preventative maintenance and technical audits at customer sites.

⚙️ Testing & Repairs

* Test, repair, and upgrade electro-mechanical components to maintain top performance.

* Ensure seamless operations through high-quality service delivery.

Prototype & Production

* Assemble prototype PCBs, wiring looms, and harnesses.

* Build, test, and commission production machines as per design documentation.

Travel & Logistics

* Travel up to 30% globally to support customers, including short-notice trips for equipment issues.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:

✔️ Technically proficient with experience in testing, servicing, and assembling electro-mechanical systems.

✔️ Customer-focused, with strong service and communication skills.

✔️ Problem-solver with a structured approach to fault diagnosis and repairs.

✔️ Skilled in using manual test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, meters, and analyzers.

✔️ Experienced in creating technical documentation and procedures.

✔️ A team player, working effectively in collaboration with colleagues and customers alike.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• ONC/HNC in electronics, systems, or control.

• Experience in a Test and Service environment.

• Familiarity with computer programming fundamentals.
