Our client is a very successful distributor of CNC woodworking machinery and due to their continued business growth Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.\n\nThe successful candidate will operate as a 'home based' field engineer responsible for machine installation, service and repair activities throughout the UK.\n\nOur client offers excellent package including overtime with 'door to door' pay, company vehicle + credit card, fuel card, phone, laptop.\n\nThe Role:\n\nReporting to the service manager you will be responsible for effective delivery of professional electrical maintenance, service and repair of CNC woodworking machinery.\n\nDuties will include but is not limited to the following;\n\nElectrical installations, machine fault find and repair\nMotors, servos, 415v and 24v circuits (ability to read electrical schematics/drawings is essential).\nContactors, sensors, relays, switches etc etc\nControl panels, wiring \nPlc fault find and repair\nMachine installation & commissioning\nMechanical maintenance and repair, removal and replacement on broken and worn component parts such as chains, sprockets, linear bearings, and ball screws.Candidate:\n\nYou will be a multiskilled engineer ideally electrical bias and you will previous experience in a field service engineer position.\n\nYou will have previous experience in maintenance service and repair of automated / semi-automated machinery.\n\nApplicants will be electrically qualified e.g. NVQ3, HNC in electrical engineering or 17th /18th edition certification.\n\nYou will demonstrate good customer service and communication skills and you will be of a friendly disposition.\n\nHours of Work:\n\nMonday to Friday 40 hours + OT door to door pay\n\nOnly occasional nights away from home\n\nBenefits:\n\nCompetitive basic salary £38K -£40K + OT ( OTE £45K -£50K)\nCompany vehicle, phone , laptop\nCredit card, fuel card\nDoor to door pay + OT\n28 days annual leave\nVery occasional nights away from home
