Your new company\n\nWe are recruiting Field Service Engineers for our client to join their team on a permanent basis.The company supplies, services, repairs and replaces train doors on train stock for a number of customers across the country.\nThe role will involve travel to various sites and rail depots for maintenance, repair and installation of train door systems ensuring they operate as required.\nThe successful candidates will need to work away from home during the week when required (normally 3 to 4 nights per week) and the role will involve night work on occasion also.\n\nYour new role\n\nThe role will involve but not limited to the following duties:\n\nProvide on-site support for repairs, upgrades, and overhauls of engineering systems.\nConduct training sessions for customers to maximise system effectiveness.\nCarrying out the work, troubleshooting and integration of existing systems as well as suggestion of remedial measures in the event of malfunctions\nTroubleshoot malfunctions and suggest corrective actions.\nProcess repair and replacement orders independently.\nPrepare detailed work reports and documentation.\nEnsure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.\nCollaborate with the team to identify and resolve technical issues.\nFlexibility to travel and stay away from home when requiredRequirements:\n\nProven background in troubleshooting and customer service. Familiarity with door wings, sliding steps, and drives is a plus.\nHands-on experience in maintenance and repair of technological mechanical systems\nMechanical qualifications required; electrical qualifications .\nCertification or training in mechatronics or electrical engineering is advantageous.\nStrong communication and documentation skills.
