Field Service Engineer

A market leading provider of semiconductor systems is now looking for a Field Engineer to support customers throughout the UK, EMEA and occasionally US.

Working at customer sites you will install, maintain, repair breakdowns and upgrade systems and software.

As the first point of contact for customers you will answer customer queries and troubleshoot problems over the phone.

Working with your customers, you will report back to Engineering or Support and Upgrade Teams any experiences, requirements or issues highlighted during your visits.

Experience:

Previous Service / Installation / Maintenance experience, ideally working with semiconductor equipment is required. Experience in similar high technology electronic/instrumentation sector may also be considered.

You should be able to read electrical and mechanical schematics, fault find and implement corrective actions.

This is a Field role, where you can expect to spend approximately 90% of your time travelling throughout the EMEA, UK and on occasions US, territory to support customers.

Qualifications:

Qualified to HNC or Degree level in an Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Engineering Discipline.

Additional Information:

The position requires extensive, frequent travel (ca 90%), therefore you MUST be prepared to regularly travel and stay away from home. (Mainly UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa)

Candidates MUST have a Full Clean UK driving licence.

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested.
