Job Title: Field Service Engineer\n\nLocation: Birmingham\n\nThe Role:\n\nSo, what will you be doing as a Field Service Engineer?\n\n * Perform planned preventative maintenance and recommend improvements.\n\n * Adhere to a structured service rota to ensure operational efficiency.\n\n * Maintain safety standards for yourself and others, following Health & Safety regulations.\n\n * Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.\n\n * Collaborate with engineering teams to drive innovation and continuous improvements.\n\n * Report incidents and accidents promptly, implementing preventative strategies.\n\n * Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.\n\nWhat are we looking for in our next Field Service Engineer?\n\n * City & Guilds or an equivalent recognized apprenticeship (ideally with an electrical bias).\n\n * Industry Experience – Background in parcel handling, FMCG, or manufacturing.\n\n * Proven Performance – Experience meeting contractual targets, PM schedules, and KPIs.\n\n * Service Excellence – Strong ability to manage and improve supply chain engineering service contracts.\n\n * Strong Communication – Clear written and verbal skills, including report writing and presentations.\n\n * Continuous Improvement Mindset – Committed to implementing best practices and driving service enhancements.\n\n * Collaboration Skills – Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external clients.\n\nThis really is a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to progress their career.
