Responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer



Reporting to the Service Manager you will be expected to be in control of the maintenance, service, and repairs of material handling equipment on various customer sites within your postcode area. The candidate will be working with an assortment of equipment including diesel, gas, and electric trucks. You will be expected to manage your own work in progress, ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately, attend regular training courses to maintain up-to-date knowledge of equipment, and be an active team player sustaining the company's prestigious reputation. You will be working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks, and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment at their customer sites.



Requirements of the Field Service Engineer



NVQ Level 3 qualification is essential - Certificates will be required



Will consider Vehicle Technician, Master Technician, HGV Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Roadside Recovery, Plant Fitter…



Served full apprenticeship



Technical experience in Engines, Electrics (Diagnostics) or Hydraulics. This includes all engine types.



IT Literate and be comfortable with using the latest technology



Salary and Benefits for the Field Service Engineer:



Attractive starting salary package circa with OTE £40k to £45k minimum in your first year



Overtime paid at time and a half over a 40-hour week



Working Hours 8 am to 4.30 pm



Door to Door payments



Bonus Scheme + additional bonus once completed probation of £500



Occasional on-call support required paid in addition to your salary
