Field Service Engineer (Generators) - Manchester
We are currently looking to recruit field service engineers for our client who specialises in the rental service and maintenance of own generators based in Manchester (M8 0AD)
Salary: £14 per hour
Will receive a company van and fuel card
25 days holiday plus bank

Working Hours:
Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
Purpose of Role:
Operating within the Manchester depot, though being flexible to meet the reactive work demands that can occur at anytime, anywhere in our depot regions. To carry out the responsibilities below with high levels of attention to detail, professionalism and consideration for company policy. To endeavour to carry out all duties with maximum efficiency, providing outstanding customer service whilst also optimising company profitability.
Role Duties:
Carry out planned service and maintenance of own generators in the field and at our depot (s)
Carry out planned service and maintenance of customers generators
Service, fault find and carry out breakdown repairs
Preparation of equipment for on-hire, including servicing, repairing, cleaning and testing
On-site fault finding and subsequent rectification and testing of equipment
Apply proper engine technical skills in inspections and disassembly
Start-up load bank testing
Maintain a stock of equipment in your van
Ensure that the depot and your vehicle is kept clean and tidy
Part of on-call rota (includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to all Company handbooks and policies.
Carry out all works in accordance to Health and safety
Ensure the completion of relevant paperwork is submitted accurately and in a timely manner
Perform all duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and general publicIdeal Candidate will have:
Prior experience in maintaining diesel generators between 14 kva and 1400 kva is essential
Exposure with controller configurations and installations would be highly advantageous
Ideally qualified at Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND or City and Guilds level in an Engineering discipline
Full UK Driving licence (preferably clean), with the ability to drive commercial vehicles
Fork Lift Truck to B2 an advantagePlease apply online if interested in the role.
