Field Service Engineer - Generators - South West - Exeter\n\nAre you a time served (mechanical or electrical) Generator Engineer with experience in the maintenance of generator sets or large engines?\nDo you hold any electrical or testing certifications? EG - 18th Edition 2391/2-2395/6) \nCan you commission generator sets or similar power equipment?\nAre you located in the South West of the UK? (Exeter or surrounding areas ideally but can also consider Bristol, Bath, Plymouth based engineers)\nDo you hold a full UK driving licence?\nAre you hapoy to work a 1 in 4 call out rota?

\n\nIf the answers are yes, DCS Engineering are working exclusively with a rapidly expanding generator and UPS company with major financial backing. Our client specialise in generator installation and maintenance, with projects all over the country. They are renowned for their strong staff retention rates, offering a stable work environment where employees tend to stay for many years.\n\nWhat You Need:\n\nLocation: Based in the SOUTH WEST (Exeter ideal location) region with a full UK driving licence.\n\nTime served mechanical or electrical engineering.

Electrical testing certs ideal\n\nExperience of working within the Generator or Large Engine industry\n\nA willingness to participate in the 1-in-8 call-out rota.\n\nWhat You Get in Return:\n\nSalary: Fully dependent upon your level of experience and training required, £35-45k\n\nOvertime: Regular overtime opportunities available.\n\nOn-call Rota: 1 in 4 weeks.\n\nWorking Hours: 40-hour working week. Flexible working\n\nCompany Van: Personal use permitted.\n\nHealthcare: Personal private healthcare with the option to upgrade to a family package.\n\nTraining: A full training program tailored to your experience level including 'in-person' manufacturer training\n\nSupport: Full back-office support to minimize administrative tasks.\n\nThe Nice to Haves:\n\nAt least 5 years in the generator or large engine industry.\n\nFamiliarity with DSE (DeepSea), COMAP, or Woodward control panels.\n\nCompetency with diesel engine diagnostics and alternator types.\n\nBasic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PLC .\n\nThe Role Details:\n\nReporting into the Service Manager the Generator Technician will provide maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair and testing services across a range of diesel generator sets, switchgear, control systems and associated equipment. Our client's support is carried out at client's premises or other sites.
