About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire and Gas Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic Oil & Gas UK team, our successful candidate can be located UK wide near a main transportation hub. In this role, you will be responsible for commissioning and servicing Fire & Gas Detection Systems on both offshore installations and land-based sites. This position is part of our specialized Detection and Control team.

Key Responsibilities
As a Fire & Gas Commissioning Engineer, you will be an integral part of a highly skilled team working on both new and existing contracts. Your responsibilities will include:
Calibrating & Testing: Perform on-site calibration and testing of equipment.
Implementation: Develop and implement test procedures.
Analysis: Interpret Cause & Effect diagrams and procedures.
Troubleshooting: Investigate problems, diagnose, and repair faults.
Client Interaction: Liaise with clients and installation project engineers.
Supervision: Supervise and guide junior engineers.
Documentation: Write detailed reports and maintain documentation.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to clients and team members.
Safety: Ensure safe working conditions are maintained at all times.
Training: Train maintenance and operative staff on system operations.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications:
Proven experience in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum academic Qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Control and Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience in interpreting client’s Technical Specifications.
Working knowledge of Microsoft STD packages.
Working knowledge of Fire & Gas Detection Equipment.
Experience of Tyco current Fire & Gas Detection Systems.
Qualifications:
HNC/HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
FS Eng (TUV Certified).
Previous experience working as a Fire & Gas Commissioning Engineer.
Good understanding of Software based Systems.
Experience of Legacy Wormald/Tyco Fire & Gas Detection Panels.
Up to date Offshore Survival & Medical Certificates.
Full UK Driving License.
