Guardian’s experienced Enterprise Team plans, manages and executes the complete scope of every data center / office environment project from start to finish, such as onsite Decomissioning, Data Destruction (HDD Shredding), Audits, Erasure, Packaging & Logistics, Installations, & migrations, at client sites across the country.

What does the role involve?

• The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing all service activities conducted at client locations nationwide. These activities may include:
  • Equipment De-Installation
  • Physically de-racking and/or re-racking of Network, Storage, Server assets (Rack & Stack)
  • Cable Removal – within Rack, above and below racks.
  • Rack Removals
  • Data eradication
  • Packing and palletizing equipment to be transferred
• Opportunity for Nationwide Travel: Enterprise Technicians travel Regionally & Nationwide approximately 75% of the time to deliver our services at the quality level our clients have come to expect. Technicians do and are expected to travel for multiple days but not usually more than a week at a time.
• Working in cooperation with the Tech team on the group and under the supervision of the Project Manager

Our ideal candidate has the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

• High school diploma required
• Some college is
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following
  • Server de-installations
  • Server management
  • IT equipment de-installations
  • IT Hardware management
• Erasure – Experience in wiping hard drives utilizing 3rd party software such as Blancco or EPS is a plus.
• Intermediate PC Skills – MS Office with an emphasis on Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work efficiently under supervision
• Can Do Attitude, with a professional demeanor
• Effective communication and people skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to security protocols when handling sensitive information or equipment.
• Willingness to travel domestically to client locations
• Ability to multitask
