Job Summary:

We seek a motivated and technically skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the performance and reliability of Sepro robotic systems through expert installation, startup, maintenance, and repair services. This position requires 80% travel to customer sites for on-site support.

Key Responsibilities:Startup & Installation:

  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment.

  • Oversee and assist customers with equipment unpacking and initial setup.

  • Validate system installation, including mechanical setup and cable positioning.

  • Test and verify robot functionality, including integration with presses and peripheral systems.

  • Program and configure robotic systems to meet production specifications.

Repair & Service:

  • Utilize diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve equipment issues.

  • Conduct inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and execute necessary repairs.

Customer Training & Support:

  • Provide hands-on, on-site training for customers on robot operation, programming, and maintenance.

  • Offer remote troubleshooting and technical support via the Sepro Hot Line.

Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed service reports and maintain records of modifications and repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of two years of experience in field service, preferably in automation, robotics, or industrial machinery.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and wiring schematics.

  • Proficiency with diagnostic instruments, basic hand and power tools, and field equipment.

Skills:

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing workload and priorities.

  • Flexibility to travel 80% of the time to support customer needs.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequent standing, sitting, and manual dexterity required to operate tools and equipment.
