Field Service Technician

We are looking to fill a couple positions to assist with current water utilities projects. This is a temporary position but will strongly consider hiring qualified candidates for full time positions.

FUNCTIONS:

• Digging out water meter boxes
• Reading water meters
• Replacing water meters
• Repairing service line and main line leaks
• Assisting with underground construction projects
• Emergency (after hours) leak repairs
• Manual labor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain a professional and respectful mindset when working without supervision and performing the job task with upmost integrity.
• Taking care of company vehicles
• Taking care of company tools
• Safe driving practices
• Quality clean up and restoration of job site when completed
• Communication with superiors
• Use of mobile device applications utilized by the company
• Understands and practices company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to work outside the majority of the day
• Ability to use basic hand tools and digging equipment
• Water/Wastewater utility experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to read, write and use mobile device applications
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50LBS (frequently)
• Willing to learn
• Willing to work late some days and possibly weekends
• Ability to follow instructions from superior
• Ability to walk or be on their feet the majority of the day
• Ability to communicate with customers
• Must have a good friendly optimistic attitude with not only the customers best interest in mind but as well as the company and the company's property.
• Valid DL and clean driving record
