As the ideal candidate you are a self-starter who enjoys frequent travel as part of the job, problem solving and applying your technical expertise to the most cutting-edge equipment in the industry. You are excited to amp up your skills by being involved in a broad scope of projects ranging from civil construction to custom software implementation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You will be travelling frequently by air/car completing installations, maintenance, and system upgrades at our customer sites. When you are not on the road, you will be working from the comfort of your home office. The work you do every day will be saving lives out on the road!

- A five-day work week, with all efforts made to have technicians off work on the weekends.
Job Accountabilities - include but are not limited to:
- Install and maintain a wide variety of imaging and ITS devices such as CCTV and digital cameras, illuminators, video detection systems, vehicle induction loops, dynamic message signs, solid-state equipment, fiber optic equipment, computerized communication cables, light-emitting diode lamps, and related devices and equipment for the freeway, arterial roadways, and government facilities.
- Verify proper device and system operation, conduct inspections, and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions, isolate defects, and repair devices and equipment.
- Participate in the design, layout, modification, and fabrication of the ITS components used in the field.
- Read diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and specifications for new installations and continual maintenance of cameras and ITS devices; make corrections to schematics and blueprints.
- Monitor cameras and devices, diagnose issues and safely implement changes for effective system operation.
- Evaluate, plan, direct, and perform repair, removal, and replacement of poles, cabinets, controllers, and other equipment; repair conduit, pull wires and cable, as needed; perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers and contractors.
- Make independent technical decisions during maintenance activities.
- Lead and participate in field and bench testing procedures on a variety of camera and ITS equipment, such as digital camera systems, traffic control systems, dynamic message signs, inductive vehicle detection systems, power service assemblies, and others; test, troubleshoot, and repair camera and ITS equipment.
- Assist with the production and testing of new technologies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience installing, repairing, and maintaining ITS, CCTV, or traffic control systems.
- Specialized training in electronics, networking, and CCTV maintenance and repair or alarm system installations.
- Knowledge of cable and component coding and the ability to read schematics, construction, and machine drawings.
- Able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and possess strong techniques and methods of record keeping.
- Valid Passport and ability to board flights.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- Successful candidates will be subject to completion of a criminal background check
Physical Considerations:
- Walking, bending, lifting, repetitive motion, use of hand tools, and test equipment.
- Driving short and long distances and frequent travel including overnights.
- Operating assigned equipment and operating devices.
- Handling equipment up to 50 lbs and occasionally climbing ladders whilst carrying up to 50 lbs.
Compensation:
Up to $85,000 USD (Plus overtime eligibility)
