Field Technician

Job DescriptionDue to an internal promotion, we have a vacancy for a full-time Sampler in our Christchurch laboratory at Eurofins ELS NZ Ltd, and we are seeking candidates for this exciting opportunity. Based at our Christchurch Food and Water Testing Laboratory, this is a hands-on role reporting to the Regional Manager. The purpose of the role is to collect samples, this involves collecting water samples from around the Canterbury region including but not limited to domestic taps, pump houses, reservoirs, water mains, rivers, sea, pools and waste treatment plants in an approved manner. Days of work are 8 hours per day, 5 days per week Friday to Tuesday, ie includes the weekends and Public Holidays, and additional hours may be required on some occasions.This is a permanent full-time position. This is an entry level position and would suit a new graduate wanting to enter the laboratory field or someone returning to the workforce.QualificationsAs an important role within Eurofins-ELS the following selection criteria are essential for success:Attention to detail, and proficient computer skills are essentialPreferred but not essential a tertiary degree in scienceMust have a current full NZ driver’s licenseExcellent organisational and time management skillsMust be available to work weekendsDesire to continually learn and improveMust have a valid NZ work visa or be a NZ residentAdditional InformationIf you have the necessary skills and experience, please submit a resume and a cover letter (1 page maximum)) no later than 30th June 2024All candidate CV's and cover letter's will be reviewed, however please note that we are not always able to respond to every expression of interest submitted.
