Field Technician (Oil & Gas)
Seeking a Field Service Technician for an energy related client based in Carlsbad, NM.This person will oversee, assist and train as needed a team of Field Service Techs with various work, (including spark plug and/or oil changes, major and minor repairs, and electrical trouble shooting), on oil and gas production and processing equipment, (open flare controls, ECD’s, Burner Management systems, Vapor Recovery Units and other rotary equipment), and will ensure that all jobs are completed safely. Works closely with the Sales team and customers to ensure job satisfaction. Compensation $22 to $30 per hour DOE plus OT, on-call payments, and quarterly incentive bonusCompany Vehicle and Full Benefits Package IncludedElectrical experience preferred4+ years related experience in the oil & gas industry Job Functions: Supports a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possibleCombustor/Flare Maintenance Techs Perform tasks while on manlift at heights between 20’-50’Performs work associated with leading Techs to maintain and install oil and gas production equipmentProject workload and capacity reports for the sales teamWork closely with sales to ensure jobs are scheduled and completed in a timely and organized fashionFlexibility to work necessary hours to meet customer requirementsAssist and Train Field Techs to install and maintain burner management systems in the fieldAssist Field Service crews with equipment repairs and maintenance as neededEnsure timecards, field tickets and material transfers are completed and turned in timely and organized Assist Techs with startup, troubleshooting, inspection and repair of Oil and Gas Production EquipmentWorks closely with customers to ensure job satisfaction Fills out all safety documentation to ensure job is completed in a safe mannerMaintains company truck and ensures that all required maintenance is performed Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent 4+ years of Oil / Gas experience2+ years of environmental equipment experience (combustion, compression, BMS) or experience with production/midstream equipment2 years electrical and mechanical troubleshootingFundamental knowledge of the national Electrical Code and the Electrical Trade. Working knowledge of hand tools associated with the electrical trade and electrical testing equipment (Multimeters, meggers, 4-20 signal drivers, battery testers)Training/Experience in: Industrial Wiring, Motor Controls, Relay Logic and PLC’sReading and Interpreting Electrical, P&ID, GA and Fabrication drawingsElectrical instrumentation (Flow/Pressure Transmitters, Thermocouples, Etc.)Electrical motors, starters and drivesVacuum pumps, blowers and belt driven/direct drive motorsPneumatic and electric actuators and valvesWorking with detonation and flame arrestorsWorking with pressure/vacuum relief valves and mechanical check valves Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office application package, Outlook, and ERP and MRP database driven software.DOT and DISA Certifications required (or ability to obtain)
