SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE: As a Filta Service Technician your main responsibility will be to complete daily service routes at client kitchens located in hotels, restaurants, hospitals, universities, colleges and sporting venues. Basically any establishment that has deep fryers. The position will require the operation of a variety of equipment as well as cleaning and detailing kitchen deep fryers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Follow schedule and route instructions sent prior to the start of your shift.
• Load and unload equipment in and out of assigned vehicle.
• Safely and responsibly operate company vehicle.
• Follow a grading scale to determine the need to filter or dispose of cooking oil.
• Perform manual cleaning of fryers and removal of hot cooking oil for waste transport.
• Properly operate a filtration machine (MFU) and Filta vacuum after the completion of training.
• Maintain a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site before leaving
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
• Communicate effectively with management team and co-workers.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor under adverse conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is an hourly full-time position.

TRAVEL: Filta technician's will need their own transportation to and from our warehouse in either Ocean, NJ or Roselle Park, NJ.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school education or G.E.D.
• Valid drivers license with good driving history.
• The ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Experience with kitchen fryers , but not required.
