Financial Compliance Manager

Grafton Banks Finance is working with a large international group to recruit a newly created Financial Compliance Manager role.

Working as part of a high calibre Group finance team this role will focus on delivering the Groups' Internal Audit Schedule and working with businesses in the group to review their processes and controls.

We are looking for an ACA/ACCA qualified accountant, with audit experience in practice, and with a proven knowledge of IFRS. Experience working in or auditing multinational groups would be an advantage. This role would suit someone looking to make their first move into industry, or someone already working in an Internal Audit role and looking to progress into a manager position.

The role will be hybrid working in our clients Crawley offices with travel expected in the UK and abroad. Salary is up to £70,000 + benefits including bonus, healthcare, pension, and 25 days holiday.

Key tasks:

  • Working closely with Head of Financial Compliance the role will focus on delivering the Groups' Internal Audit Schedule. The work will include a mix of desk-based reviews and site visits focusing both on balance sheet captions across the whole Group and audits of all financial captions within a single business.
  • You will interpret the findings of the work and be able to report in a clear and timely manner accurate reports that reflect audit’s results and document process to stakeholders both at Group level and to the individual businesses.
  • As part of the work, you will identify areas of weakness and, to assist the Divisions, recommend areas of improvement in the internal financial controls operating within a business as well as risk mitigating measures and cost savings.
  • Alongside the Head of Financial Compliance, you will also be helping to scope audit reviews and delivering risk-based desk and field-based testing in conjunction with local finance teams.
  • You will be writing, communicating, implementing, and maintaining Group accounting policies and understanding challenges in compliance and dealing with questions from around the Group.

You’ll require excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to plan and organise your time independently and prioritise tasks.
