Consulting Services Group (CSG) seeks a Financial Operations Manager to join our team. The Financial Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate a key financial program directly supporting a DOD customer. The position requires strong attention to detail and ability to communicate requirements between the customer, PMO team and CSG executive leadership. Reports to the Senior Director of Program Management and will be matrixed to the Financial Operations Director and Program Director.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial requirements, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with financial regulations, combining financial analysis, accounting, and management skills.
- Management of financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate financial requirements between end customer and Financial Operations Director.
- Develop and submit reports of transactions and summarizations.
- Provide auditable support for monthly invoices.
- Monitoring, interactive coordination and extrapolating of key components of customer requirements, to include ensuring program personnel and end customers are in adherence to all aspects of the financial program as directed by the Financial Operations Director.
- Provide periodic training to personnel.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment and communication.
- Responsible to review and update internal Standard Operating Procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. with an active Secret Security Clearance with willingness to submit to and favorably pass a CI Poly.
- 10-12 years’ experience of relative work experience
- At least four (4) years in a managerial role.
- Organizational proficiency and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting, presentations, and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning,
- Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards is necessary.
- Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office applications is expected.
- Experience in managing financial projects and initiatives.
- Candidates must have the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Desired Qualifications:
- Have an active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration or 15-20 years of comparable experience overall
Other:
This is a full-time position working normal workday hours, Monday to Friday, with weekends and holidays off. 75% of the work will be performed at customer site and 25% percent will be performed at CSG HQ’s.
Job location: Onsite in the vicinity of Laurel Md, (primary) 75%. Herndon VA (CSG HQ) 25%. Remote telework is not available.
Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in an office environment, requiring the use of computer terminals and standard office equipment to accomplish work objectives.
Travel:
Ability to travel in the DMV area to customer locations, PMO office and HQ’s.
