Fire Safety Advisor

Our client is looking to appoint a Fire Safety Advisor to lead a number of projects across their North London patch. The role will involve a a lot of site based work with occasional office requirement but you can also work from home.

Your main purpose is to ensure that the Council's statutory obligations are met; such as compliance with Fire, Health and Safety regulations (Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

You will make full use of your extensive fire safety knowledge and experience in the field to provide technical advice and guidance to the Council's Senior Managers and the Council's housing department regarding the management of fire safety across the council's residential and commercial portfolio. On a day to day basis you can expect to be undertaking fire risk assessments of complex and non-complex residential buildings and places of assembly.

The initial contract will be 3-6 months but a busy workload means this is likely to extend for some time.

The client will pay at least £300/day; please confirm your rate expectation on application.

We are looking for skills an existing Fire Safety Advisor with relevant qualifications and experience gained within a Local Authority. You will need to be able to demonstrate significant experience in undertaking complex and non-complex Fire Risk Assessments within the social housing sector
