As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled Fire & Security Design Estimator to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in delivering precise and cost-effective designs and estimates for our clients' fire and security systems.



Job Description:



Key Responsibilities:



* Develop detailed designs and estimates for fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms.



* Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand client requirements.



* Perform site surveys to gather information necessary for accurate design and estimation.



* Prepare cost estimates, including materials, labour, and equipment costs, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing.



* Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client needs and regulatory standards.



* Produce detailed technical drawings and schematics using CAD software.



* Provide technical support and advice to clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.



* Stay up to date with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices.



* Assist in the preparation of tender documents and responses to client inquiries.



* Maintain detailed records of estimates, designs, and project documentation.



Requirements:



* Proven experience in a design and estimating role within the fire and security industry.



* Strong knowledge of fire and security systems, including relevant standards and regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266, BS EN 50131).



* Proficiency in using CAD software and other relevant design tools.



* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.



* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of work.



* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and colleagues.



* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.



* Relevant qualifications in engineering, fire protection, or a related field are advantageous.



* Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
