Allsouth Sprinkler Company is a full-service licensed Fire Sprinkler Contractor with corporate offices in Buford GA. ASC was established in 1973 and specializes in design, fabrication, and installation of large warehouse ESFR systems. We are currently seeking a Fire Sprinkler Design Manager. As the design department manager, you will design fire sprinkler systems and manage a team of designers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Management and full oversite of the Fire Sprinkler Design Department
• Managing a team of designers while mentoring, training, developing, and coaching each member to grow and excel
• Providing technical expertise to your team and other departments and team leaders throughout the organization
• Manage project schedules and assign jobs to team members to insure that fabrication and installation timelines can be met
• Manage communication with the Project Managers and Customers to insure that information is shared correctly and timely for on time completion
• Design fire sprinkler systems

Requirements:

• Proficient in AutoCAD and SprinkCAD software
• Microsoft Office skills, Outlook, Word, Excel for calculations and organization
• Able to read engineer/design, architectural, and structural blueprints.
• Fundamental understanding of general construction methods, practices, and terminology
• Skilled time management with ability to prioritize tasks and consistently complete projects accurately
• Must be able to multi-task, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills, both oral and written, when working with all levels of management and employees, clients, external vendors and other business associates
• Be proactive with enthusiasm and determination to improve yourself, the process and business where possible
• Escalate any errors or omissions you might encounter

• Neat, clean, professional appearance

• Able to sit at a computer for long periods at a time

Education and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• College or technical school certification .
• 1-3 yrs. minimum experience with AutoCAD and SprinkCAD software.
• Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Mostly quiet office environment with moderate noise with computers, printers, and light traffic
• Office expectations to work well with other colleagues, and carry out all tasks in a professional manner and effectively communicate with both internal and external parties
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, stooping, bending, reaching, and stretching occur daily
• Professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment
