Hunter Truck is hiring! We are currently looking for a motivated and committed team member to join out team as a Fleet Maintenance Manager.

SUMMARY:
Lead the Service Support team with the primary objectives of controlling lease and rental fleet expenses while minimizing downtime. Must ensure adherence to repair and rebill approval procedures, oversee vehicle status during repairs resulting in minimal turnaround time from vehicle drop off back to customer. Expected to provide innovative solutions to support our customers, internal service departments, and other Pac Lease staff. Proficient in data analysis of key controllable areas of asset repair and maintenance. Able to identify trends and anomalies that impact life cycle expense and make appropriate changes to correct, improve, and/or develop into Best Practice. Travel within Hunter service footprint to work directly with company locations and customers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), College Degree
- Four years of diesel mechanic shop experience with lead or supervisory experience .
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Driver's License required; must meet company insurability standards
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License ( but not required): must meet company insurability standards
TRAVEL
Up to 50% travel to Hunter Truck branches and customer locations that are in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Overnight and multiple-day travel will be up to 25% to our locations and customers within the Hunter Truck service footprint.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
CUSTOMER FACING
- Maintain routine communication with lease customers to develop and strengthen customer relationships.
- Facilitate customer safety and driver meetings when needed.
- Handle customer escalations in Service Support.
- Lead and/or participate in annual customer reviews.
INTERNAL MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT
- Initial point of contact for company service locations, outside service vendors and Emergency Breakdown Services related to planning, scheduling, and approving maintenance and/or repairs on rental/lease units.
- Monitor and control variable expenses on a cost-per-mile basis and within budget guidelines.
- Assist in developing the annual business plan and the forecasting of maintenance costs.
- Maintain and supervise preventive maintenance program according to Hunter Leasing policy.
- Review all Account Tire pricing and monitor tire replacement on lease and rental units.
- Support Service Support team to accurately issue purchase orders, verify Pac Central and vendor invoicing of all maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure that preventative maintenance, all factory and/or safety recalls are done on a timely basis.
- Collaborate with Sales and Rental teams on specifications and pricing of add on equipment/services.
- Ensure proper execution of vehicle inspections for all lease and rental assets going into and out of service.
EXTERNAL MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT
- Initial point of contact for 3rd party vendors, Emergency Services including Pac Central.
- Quarterly evaluation of vendors and suppliers based on quality, service, and price. Make recommendations to add, remove, or expand business with vendors based on findings.
- Perform monthly reviews of all external and internal maintenance and repair invoices to look for re-bill and warranty/policy opportunities.
- Ensure all Service Bulletins and product updates are communicated to all Pac Lease staff and appropriate Hunter service personnel.
- Ensure that Pac Lease staffing is in place when needed for after-hours and emergency breakdown support.
- Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment.
