Job Title: Service Manager – Fleet Management
Location: Ontario, CA
Job Type: Full-Time

 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to oversee and manage our fleet operations at our Ontario location. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the company's and customers' vehicle fleets, ensuring policy compliance, cost management, and P&L accountability. The Service Manager will work closely with clients and internal departments to optimize fleet performance and identify opportunities for cost savings.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the assigned client vehicle fleet program, ensuring the efficient and effective use of company and customer-owned equipment.
  • Collaborate with clients to initiate, monitor, and recommend adjustments to fleet policies that reduce liability and exposure, following industry best practices.
  • Provide recommendations on vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and remarketing based on cost and life cycle analysis.
  • Serve as an escalation point for client employees regarding issues related to company-provided vehicles (leased or owned) and fleet policy administration.
  • Advise clients on fleet-specific regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant fleet regulations.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure fleet operations align with company goals and objectives.
  • Track and report fleet-related expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities to optimize the fleet’s budget.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management.
  • At least 4 years of experience managing a P&L (Profit and Loss).
  • Proven ability to consult, influence, negotiate, and lead change effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in balancing competing priorities and managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in data visualization tools, Microsoft Excel, and data mining techniques.
